Wee Internet Empire Update - Aug 9, 2022
Well, I could say that after a summer break, this newsletter is ready to go again. But that would not be the truth. For the past month a combination of my physical and mental health caused me to be in a state of what can best be described, for public consumption, as “the blahs”. We are hopeful much of that has passed, however, as is said, it’s a work in progress.
A new blog post, Gen “Finger Pointers” hit the internet earlier today.
Also earlier today a new podcast, Talking YouTube With Rob, ventured out into the world wide web. After listening to the podcast I invite you to check out Rob’s YouTube channels, Dead Nought and Rob Truscott.
During our conversation Rob and I talked about Michael Terry and his Dispatches Adventure Ride. This is a ride that Mike is doing, solo, across Canada from coast to coast to coast between May and September in support of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I had a chance to ride a bit with Mike. There will be more on that coming up.
I have been fairly active on Tik Tok lately after a slow start at the end of 2021. By no means can I be considered viral, however I recently passed 30,000 views which is quite interesting to me.
In just under a week’s time Kim and I will be joining The Rolling Barrage for a short part of their ride across Canada, also in support of PTSD. This year I believe there are twenty-eight motorcycles doing the “full pull”, that is, riding the entire distance from Halifax to Vancouver. Along the way there will be hundreds of bikers joining the ride for various distances like Kim and I are doing. More on our ride will be coming as well.
I invite you to check out my “Wee Internet Empire”. There you will find some information about me, and a good many links to different parts of my empire. Have a look, and give me feedback, which would be greatly appreciated.
There are a number of projects in the works, so until next time, thanks so much for your support.
Richard
