Wee Internet Empire Update - 22 Feb 2023
Greetings all, and welcome to our new subscribers. It’s so great that we are growing. Please do share this newsletter so that we can continue to grow.
Also, as I’ve mentioned before, I very much appreciate your thoughts and feedback, across any of the platforms which make up my “Wee Internet Empire”. You are welcome to pass along any ideas of things I should write or talk about, and if you have an interest in being included, by all means let me know and we’ll “make it so”.
With all the interest and talk about AI (Artificial Intelligence) recently I thought I would give it a try and played around with it a bit. This blog post, Let’s Talk Aging — A Chatbot And Me, is the result of a question I posed to OpenAI ChatGPT. AI will not be writing my blog posts, but it may be handy once in a while to stimulate my thought processes.
The other day I was ruminating a bit and some thoughts about retirement came to mind. In this blog post, This Retirement Thing, I share some of these thoughts with my readers. What thoughts might you have?
As you know, I have been working to digitize photographs and slides. It is a slow process and I have yet many thousands to go. Recently my wife Kim provided me with a couple of photo albums from 1991 when she and her sister came to Canada from Malaysia to visit family. I scanned all the photos and made a video, Kim Gee Canada Visit 1991, posting it on my YouTube channel. This visit took place sixteen years before we even met.
Something that I like to do is share links to things I feel you may find of interest. One such item I share today is Lindork’s Lists, a regular newsletter put out by Linda Hoang, an acquaintance I’ve known for a good number of years. She includes all kinds of interesting events, foods and other things in and around Edmonton, AB. Well worth a read.
Don’t forget to drop by my Flickr site as well. Currently there are about fifty albums with over 2700 photos available for public viewing. Private viewing photos are available for friends and/or family. If you are in either of these categories all you need do is have a Flickr account (it’s free) and then follow my Flickr page. I will then activate the necessary permissions.
Well, that’s it for now. Thanks for your support. Catch you next time. Do look after yourself and take care of others.
